
Why Shen May or anyone else didn’t think to clone the chip is beyond anyone’s guess. Yet again, Infinite Darkness breaks a law of media. There is a rule of thumb in video games and other related media that there should always be a copy of something important.

Never leave anywhere without a gun while undercover - that’s another obvious training point to follow in media, especially in a series like Resident Evil, which is filled with bio weapons. It could have been that she was not armed, but if that was the case, she’s a bad soldier. It’s fair to say that Infinite Darkness Leon was not the smartest iteration of the character in the series. It was obvious to most viewers that he should have stayed undercover instead of shooting up the place. His behavior here goes against spy training 101 in movies. Instead of playing it cool and having them lead him to their destination, he ruins it by showing his cards far too early. Rats have also never really been a thing in the Resident Evil series, so why bring them in here? 6 Leon Should Have Played It CoolĪfter the sub incident, it was very obvious to Leon that Jason and Shen May were up to no good. There’s no way they could have snuck that many rats aboard the sub, and there’s also no way that many rats were natively on the sub in the first place. The inclusion of all the rats was another confusing, strange choice. Jason and Shen May plant the virus on the sub in order to have excuse to kill people - but why didn’t they kill Leon? 7 Everything About The Sub PlotĪnother fast acting event occurs shortly after the White House attack. This might be the fastest resolution in any Resident Evil piece of media. It’s covered up from the press even though people died, and there doesn’t appear to be any damage to the building itself. The whole incident happens so fast, and yet the next day it’s like nothing ever happened. Presumably, Wilson set it up to help put fear into President Graham, so that he would believe his propaganda about China. There are a lot of things that don’t add up about the White House zombie attack. There will be spoilers for all four episodes ahead in discussing some of these plot holes. Unfortunately for Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness, though, this left a lot of unanswered questions on the table as well as some issues with the plot that didn’t add up.

That’s not necessarily a bad thing for media if handled right. A lot scenes feel rushed, as though there was a sprint to get to the finish line. Though it has its strong points, the series suffers from pacing issues. Whatever format it’s presented in, though, Infinite Darkness has a few issues. It was just retooled by Netflix instead, in order to make it feel more like an animated series. The previous titles in this style were direct-to-video movies, and this one is more or less the same thing. Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness is the latest CG project for the series.
